The Christmas season - a time for cheer with family and loved ones, sharing the happiness of the holidays and enjoying perfect meals.
And for many, those memorable holiday times around the dining table are made complete by getting just the right ingredients at just the right time.
That’s where Kin’s Farm Market at Richmond’s Blundell Centre comes in to make your seasonal vegetable shopping reliable and rewarding.
It’s no coincidence the family-owned and run chain - which started 31 years ago at Blundell Centre and now has grown to 28 stores across the Lower Mainland - experiences one of its busiest times during the week leading up to Christmas Day.
According to Diana Gonzalez, the company’s manager of marketing, that’s because customers can rely on Kin’s Farm Market to have a good supply of the freshest produce available to make the holidays just right.
In fact, it’s a commitment the company has made since their start with an eight-foot-long table as a vendor at Granville Island Public Market in 1983, four years before shifting to the 2,000-square-foot Blundell Centre store.
“It’s a business formula that has been very successful over the years,” Gonzalez said. “We work with many local produce growers throughout the year and international suppliers on a seasonal basis to ensure our customers get the best quality produce they can.”
During the Christmas season, that means having a long list of the favourite items customers are on the look out for to make their dinner table perfect.
Gonzalez said among the top sellers at this time of year are mandarin oranges, grapes, navel oranges, tomatoes, berries, apples and avocados.
If those, and much more, are on your holiday shopping list, Kin’s Farm Market at Blundell Centre is the place to stop off.
Located at 8180 No. 2 Road, the store is open conveniently from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.
