Midland Appliance, a Vancouver-based appliance retailer that began in 1984 with five employees has announced plans to open a third showroom in Langley.

The new location will join the existing Vancouver and Richmond showrooms, as well as a new warehouse and office building to accommodate the growing team.

While Midland has grown to over 100 employees since its founding, its commitment to personalized, one-on-one service that meets its customers’ needs has never changed.

“Our focus is knowing our customer, knowing our clients, providing service and making the sales experience hands-on,” Sylvia McDonald, design division, says.

“Most of our staff, particularly in the sales divisions, have been here for more than 10 years. Our goal is to have experienced staff so we can provide that expertise.”

Midland Appliance specializes in luxury appliances and residential development projects, catering to a wide variety of industry professionals including designers, architects, builders and contractors. Its success has been largely based on word-of-mouth and referral business, and they are seeing an increase in retail customers as a result.

But now, the company is excited to announce a new strategic rebranding effort as the appliance retailer puts its emphasis on growth and brand communications.

Midland partnered with Full Punch, an established creative design and advertising agency, to help tell the story of Midland’s brand evolution and continued growth.

The rollout of Midland’s new brand look is set for this spring.

“We’re ready to bring the Midland brand to life and talk about the exciting things that are coming,” Jaclyn St. Pierre, brand marketing manager at Midland Appliance, says.

“With new store openings in the pipeline, a great partner network, and a strong team, we are operationally poised for growth. We’re now at a point where we need our brand to catch up, to help accelerate our potential.”

While the brand evolution is a chance to tell Midland’s story widely, its commitment to personalized service has not changed.

Midland’s salespeople take the time to really get to know their customers and understand their lifestyle needs so they can curate a list of appliance recommendations that are an ideal fit.

Although Midland’s pricing has always been competitive, it’s the individualized service in a pressure-free setting that sets the company apart.
