After 27 years, you may expect that Eye Station Optical would still rely on tools and techniques that were industry-standard when the doors first opened in 1995. However, this dynamic family business subscribes to a different philosophy.

By offering the latest advancements in products and technology, Eye Station Optical can provide its customers with the best visual experience possible.

From comprehensive eye examinations to the latest advancements in myopia control to carrying the largest frame selection in B.C., Eye Station Optical is a one-stop eye care experience. The in-house lab allows for greater customization, and, eligible prescriptions can be filled in as little as two hours.

Eddy Hung, Licensed Optician and owner of 27 years, can be found helping customers alongside his team. “Precision is the key,” says Hung. “The best and most current equipment for measuring and fitting patients with eyewear allows us to do our job better than before.”

This leading-edge approach starts with the eye exam when the optometrists offer specialty imaging to see the different retinal layers. The imaging allows the doctors to determine the health of the eye and spot potential problems earlier than traditional eye exams.

Eye Station Optical is also an industry leader in childhood myopia control. Myopia, near-sightedness, has become a global epidemic with the increasing use of screens. The younger a child becomes near-sighted, the higher their prescription will be as they grow, and higher prescriptions increase the risks of eye diseases later in life.

With access to the most up-to-date myopia control solutions available, Eye Station Optical offers a range of myopia control options, including Ortho-K treatment under the care of in-house optometrist Dr. Annie Liang.

When it comes to lenses, Eye Station Optical verifies a wide range of custom parameters with digital programs, focusing on quality products with meticulous measuring and careful installation. “This step allows patients to have the widest and clearest vision possible,” Hung explains.

For frame selection, Eye Station Optical features designer brands alongside handmade frames from independent lines. “We have everything from basic eyewear to high-end pieces”, Hung says, “so when customers come in, they can easily find something that suits them and in the price range they want.”

Eye Station Optical’s pursuit of innovation has made them a staple in the community. “Our customers mean everything to us,” says Hung. “And we work hard to give them the very best.”
