Sal Bhullar
Richmond City Council candidate Sal Bhullar. Oct. 2014

I’ve been a Richmond resident since 1984, and have raised three children in our city. I have a BA in Hospitality Management and have worked at the Vancouver International Airport for 27 years as a union member in customer service at Air Canada.

I’ve been a long-time activist in equality for all, and am a seasoned business woman who is a natural leader. As a yoga teacher, I actively volunteer at community centres and places of worship. I am very aware of community issues, about rising municipal taxes, and the need to deal with them directly and responsibly.

I support critical funding for social programs, sports, and new senior’s centres while keeping our streets safe and community strong. Having come from a farming family, I will make sure we preserve our ALR Land and teach the next generation how vital it is. Once elected, I commit to finding more options for all our children to afford a home and build a future in Richmond, I will work hard to ensure that Richmond remains family oriented and not just a place for the elite.
