I'm a Canadian candidate who has held public offices of city councillor and school trustee. I'm a practicing lawyer in my 40th year, a hand's on community activist since 1974, non-stop. I'm a lifetime learner, non-stop.
As mayor, I will listen to our residents with continuous consultation, spend taxpayers' money accountably and wisely, attract new businesses to Richmond, more jobs, increased revenue and bring improved social programs for seniors and children living in poverty. I will protect our environment and our neighbourhoods, improve public transit and transportation.
People of Richmond want a mayor who will stick up for the rights of ordinary citizens, not call out the RCMP and turf community-minded citizens out of city hall.
They want a mayor who will protect our farmland in the ALR, not lead the charge to remove them out of the ALR. They want a mayor who has new ideas and bold new directions, not one who is tired, who is bored, who is complacent.
Look ,Mayor Brodie might have $300,000 in his war chest, and he can raise another $100,000 just like that, but I have ideas and spunk. I have this silly idea to do what is best for the people, AND I'M HERE TO WIN, not to be kicked around, eh!
