I am Jun Wuyan, an actor and fan of poetry writing. I moved to Canada 10 years ago and got my university degree and work experiences here. As a member of younger generation, I would like to work with other people to lead Richmond towards social development and harmony.
I was always concerned about social justice, community harmony, employment of younger generation, and balance of development of economy and environmental safety and comfort.
So, I have following five main targets if elected:
1) Make the meetings of city council live and recorded on YouTube;
2) Make a project to create temporary short-time entry-level jobs in the city to offer newer or younger Richmond residents to gain real local experiences;
3) Set up a project to promote understanding and acceptance for gay and lesbian community;
4) Build up a platform for no matter old or new Richmondites to really merge into this city, including monthly workshops introducing core cultures of different communities in Richmond;
5)Bbring more Asian, not only East Asian but also South Asian and Arabic, film production companies, high-tech companies and 5-star hotels to set their North American headquarters in Richmond.
