Dave Semple
Long time Richmond resident and General Manager of Community Services Dave Semple, is putting his hat in the ring for a seat on city council.
“While I have been able to enact much change and provide assistance to the people of Richmond in my current role, I offer the community another asset at the council level – the experience and understanding of what it takes to keep our community safe, clean, beautiful and sustainable. Building strong relationships with businesses and communities and connecting them for the betterment of Richmond is what I have always done and will continue to do.”
Dave has been a resident of Richmond for over 60 years. He had his first paper route at age 9 with the local paper.
He has worked with the City of Richmond for over 30 years. His focus will be on community safety, the environment, farming, the safe use of the river and each neighbourhood and business and their specific needs.
Dave says “Communication, caring, extensive knowledge and integrity are the strengths that I will be honoured to bring to the next council if elected. I get things done and will be held accountable to the residents of Richmond.”
