Dan Baxter
Richmond City Council candidate Dan Baxter. Oct. 2014.

As a policy professional with the BC Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit business association, I bring a valuable business perspective to the Council table. Prior to joining the BC Chamber, I spent three years with the federal government, two of those years as an advisor to a Federal Cabinet Minister.

I am passionate about community service and civic participation. For 15 years, I have been a volunteer member of various boards. Currently, I serve on the Britannia Heritage Shipyard Society Board of Directors.

As a young father, raising my two young boys with my wife, I want to see Richmond do better, not just for my family but all families, by providing a fresh voice. My priority is to increase our connection to local government through increased voter participation. I also believe as a steward of your tax dollars, Council must ensure every cent is getting value for money, otherwise we should give it back to you.
