Bill McNulty
Richmond City Council candidate Bill McNulty. Oct. 2014

I am honoured to have served on Richmond Council since 1993, working tirelessly for our city, addressing and supporting initiatives that will ensure that Richmond remains a healthy, sustainable, and safe, family oriented community.  I have been fiscally prudent on Council, working for financial stability and have been transparent in all my decisions.

During the last term, I'm proud that I supported securing and protecting the Garden City Lands, funding community police stations in City Centre and Hamilton, Building new fire halls, 400 seniors units and a new aquatic and seniors centre, and developing the Railway Greenway. I am  a strong advocate against the jet fuel pipeline and coal transport in the Fraser River.

Known as "Richmond's Man in Motion", I am always willing to address concerns of the people with the focus on a welcoming, accessible and inclusive community, drawing on the strength of its citizens.

Over the next term my priorities include:

-Championing police and fire rescue

-Controlling spending at city hall

-Supporting transit, reducing traffic gridlock

-Advocating expanded medical services

-Preserving single family neighbourhoods

-Ensuring development supports increased city services

-Protecting our environment and farmland

I am committed to working cooperatively for the benefit of our city.
