“There were no reported injuries, but a vehicle was hit,” said DPD spokesperson Kristy Neville. “The incident is not believed to be gang related and instead a result of an ongoing dispute between parties known to each other.”

She said a number of police resources were called into the area, including the Lower Mainland District Police Dog Services.

“The suspect(s) fled the scene prior to police arrival and was not located,” she added. No arrests have been made and I can’t comment any further on suspects as the investigation is ongoing.”
Police say residents in the area can expect an increased police presence while the investigation continues.

The Optimist will continue to follow this story and provide updates when they are available.
