OTTAWA — Former television host Evan Solomon will take up the new role of minister of artificial intelligence and digital innovation in Prime Minister Mark Carney's new cabinet.
This marks the first time Canada has had a dedicated minister to oversee AI, underscoring the importance the Liberal government sees for the developing industry.
