I totally agreed with Geoffrey Filtness. What has happened to our system?

Are RCMP members above law? Do aboriginals have special rights to get away with crime?

Who is Justice Janice Dillon answerable to if it is deemed not to be a "fair" judgement?

In a civilized world, the police are not above law, they have the same rights and are under same law as all other citizens.

Actually, being in a law enforcement organization, they should be held to a higher standard than ordinary citizens.

They should be given heavier penalties, so as to uphold the law enforcers' reputation, and to deter others to follow suit.

In a civilized world, the judges' judgement are not only guided by law, but also by common sense and answerable to taxpayers.

The key word is "accountability," be it a citizen, an RCMP member, an aboriginal person or judge. Unfortunately in this case, Cpl. Benjamin Robinson has not been held accountable for what he has done.
