TransLink too shortsighted in transit plans

TransLink is patting themselves on the back for announcing they will be adding two extra trains per hour during rush hours in order to serve the ever-growing number of people using this line.

TransLink is patting themselves on the back for announcing they will be adding two extra trains per hour during rush hours in order to serve the ever-growing number of people using this line.

What Canada Line needs is two extra cars, not two extra trains per hour But because TransLink, in their infinite wisdom, did not build the platforms long enough, they cannot add even one extra car.

They never have been and never will be forward-thinking as far as transportation in the Lower Mainland is concerned. For this, thousands of taxpayers' money was spent going to look at other countries' transit systems, only to return to B.C. and build a system that is inadequate.
