Richmondites built dykes to dry wetlands, covered bogs with concrete highways and built our homes on this island.

The Richmond population grows from 140,000 to more than 200,000 in 20 years.

Do the snow geese complain when we are too many and take their homes? We have the Salmon Festival, night markets and tall ship events in the summer time.

Why not think about a Snow Geese Festival in the winter and spring to attract more tourists to Richmond.

I believe many Canadian families are happy to see these Wrangel Island visitors from Eastern Siberia. It is the best opportunity to educate our children to enjoy nature.

The snow geese are an asset to Richmond, especially our tourism.

I think the City of Richmond and Richmond Tourism have to make a plan to welcome the snow geese and tourists.

Like Kamloops welcomes the salmon at Adams River. Like Vancouver creates the Cherry Festival to welcome the cherry blooming and visitors. Like the Northern Lights tours in Whitehorse.
