If the city council is going to ban things that are allowed by the federal government - pesticides, genetically modified food and now shark fins - why not focus on something that's agreed by all to be harmful?

Activists of all stripes unite and lobby for the ban of tobacco sale in Richmond.

It has no benefit in agricultural output, lawn aesthetics, or culinary experience.

You will save more human suffering than anything else that you could have done with other activities.
