The Editor,
Several weeks ago, a barn owl was found sitting in our large garbage bin in the back. We called OWL and one of the volunteers from the Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society immediately came out and took the owl to their facility.
We were all saddened to hear that our poor little friend did not survive, but we are grateful that at least he wasn't alone in a garbage bin when he passed.
There are many parents from our local company who have taken their children on a field trip to the society, mine included. It is a fantastic facility and we just wanted to say THANK YOU!
