The Editor,
Re: "Not all change is for the best, Joe," Letters, April 4.
It was such a delight to read Alan Halliday's letter and I hope Dean Ben and Steve Kovacs also read it. It's a pity people feel they have to go to Blundell or Richmond Centre to shop - such a long journey.
I'm sure if you asked residents who have lived in Richmond for 30, 40, 50 and 60 years, you would get a very different response. Mr. Kovacs, you are a newcomer compared to some.
As for Joe Greenholtz, Mr. Halliday got it right. I'm all in favour of keeping up with the times and change is inevitable. Sadly, not all the changes in Richmond are for the good of the residents. Instead, our city is catering to the greedy developers and people with more money than sense. Enough already.
