Old furniture goes to dump, not streets

What to do about old, unwanted furniture, appliances and other household items? The answer should be obvious - drop them off at good will, or just take them to the dump.

Apparently some people seem to think that the residential area of Patterson and Tuttle Roads in Richmond is a dumping ground.

Over the many years I have lived in this area, I have been repeatedly shocked and outraged over what turns up in our neighbourhood seemingly overnight.

Who does this? This kind of behavior is beyond inconsiderate.

If you have taken the time to load up your junk and drive here, what is stopping you from driving to the dump instead?

As for the City of Richmond, please come and clean up our streets more often.

The junk sits for weeks, even months before it gets cleaned up.

We are a proud, family neighbourhood, and we deserve the courtesy.
