Dear Editor,

Re: “Who is paying for trip?” Letters, Jan. 10.

As the former Minister for Multiculturalism, I’m proud of the speech I made on the B.C. government’s formal apology to Chinese Canadians for historical discrimination.

I would like to clarify that I made an appearance on this TV program during a personal trip to visit family. No public resources were used.

As the most ethnically diverse province in Canada, B.C.’s multiculturalism is what makes our province an attractive place to live and invest. I will continue to work hard to help all British Columbians succeed.
