Dear Editor,

Re: “Give city’s ferry a go,” News, July 12.

The idea of providing a ferry service  from Starlight Casino in New Westminster along the North Arm of the Fraser River to River Rock Casino, Iona Beach and Richmond Olympic Oval sounds quite exciting.

If and when this service gets underway, it should add another dimension to tourism in this community. The proposed ferry service should provide its passengers an excellent opportunity to enjoy the river cruise and some of the beautiful sights along both sides of the Fraser River.

Roberto Farinha and Richmond Harbour Ferry must be commended for this vision.

I would like to wish Mr. Farinha every success in this commendable project.
