Dear Editor,

Re: “Gambling warning signs missed,” News, May 9.

Does Coun. Harold Steves think we all just fell off a cabbage truck?

For over two decades, as he and a varied cast of city councillors were busy pandering for votes and looking the other way, organized crime flourished in Richmond. The warning signs weren’t missed — they were ignored.
