Dear Editor,

Thank you for that revealing article.

I found some surprises; the TMH was an issue close to my heart and I note some interesting divergence from the actual vote (8-1 in favour, with only Clr. Chak Au voting against.)

Now he’s saying he’s for it ?!

I’m disappointed to see both Mayor Brodie and Clr. Loo are now against it.

I’m surprised to see so many against reducing ALR home sizes to match the provincial standards and the independent report’s recommendations. You do know that developers only have one vote and only if they reside in Richmond? However, the vast majority of Richmond residents are not pleased with that recent increase in the amount of ALR being no longer available for food production.

May as well allow cannabis production now, being as it is suitable for food, as well as fuel, clothing, paper, medication, as well as a recreational relaxant that, as opposed to alcohol, results in far less domestic violence.

Tomorrow is the first Advance Voting Day. Let the games begin!

George Pope
