Letters: Why build industrial when housing needed in Richmond?

Letter writer thinks, with proximity to Canada Line, Leslie Road development shouldn't displace residents.

A development on Leslie Road will consolidate seven properties.

Dear Editor,

Re: "Richmond city-owned mini-lot sells for 10 times assessed value"

I don't understand why the city continues to pursue light industrial zoning in an area that was previously designated for high-density?

With the Canada Line walking distance to this location, doesn't it make better use of this area by maximizing its potential?

I'm opposed to anything that displaces residents.
