Letters: Petition growing against new proposed location for Steveston bus loop

Some locals felt moving the bus terminus close to Garry Point Park would be 'dangerous,' letter writer said.

Dear Editor,

It was a beautiful day to sit at Garry Point and collect signatures of people opposed to using 7th Avenue and Moncton Street as part of the proposed "Transit Bus Exchange."

There were lots of comments about how having buses in this area would not only be dangerous, but would also ruin the tranquility around the concession/picnicking area.

The city and TransLink need to work together to come up with a better solution.
