Dear Editor,
Re: “8-lane tunnel, not bridge, to replace tube,” News, Aug. 19.
We should be driving over a new bridge the Liberals started to replace the Massey Tunnel next year.
Instead, government fumbling means we have another eight years with ridiculous traffic delays until a replacement (which offers no improvement) is built.
With three lanes in rush hour at the Massey Tunnel now, in eight years the new tunnel will still have three lanes.
With one million new people expected south of the Fraser, in what universe do you think that works?
