Letters: Netflix has worn out its welcome

Many families and visitors at Garry Point Park over Victoria Day long weekend.

Dear Editor,

Whoever gave the OK to blackout Garry Point Park with metal fencing and black canvas fence coverings should give their head a shake.

For daily walkers, bikers and strollers, it is an offence to the senses. There is more to life than money and movies.

I am all for the film industry, but a takeover of the park, at this time especially, is pushing it. The once beautiful walk along the shore line and Scotch Pond is now horrendous.

Good grief! I deserve better! You should never mess with nature!

The City of Richmond signs say “thank you for your patience.” Well, I have been, patient but now I have had enough. I want my beautiful Garry Point Park back and, besides, who asked me in the first place if I wanted to sell it off to a Netflix production?
