Dear Editor,
Re: “Minoru centre wins provincial recreation award,” Online, May 10
This award is absolutely laughable. We are regular users of the pool and it is a lemon.
The obvious areas: air quality so poor that the doors remain open during freezing temperatures outside, locks on lockers already replaced as they couldn’t withstand the moisture and chlorine (who knew?) and two of the massaging fountains in the family hot tub haven’t worked in months.
And what of the heavily promoted “rain cloud”? I’ve seen it operate once.
Despite our frequent visits, every time we get the distinct feeling that the centre is still incomplete.
