Letters: All I want from Steveston is a picture hook or a pin

Yet another Richmond News reader is lamenting the lack of a simple hardware store in Steveston

A development application has been received by the City of Richmond for the former Steveston Marine & Hardware property.

Dear Editor,

Re: “Local hardware stores needed,” Letters, April 27.

I have only been a resident of Steveston for 18 months and love this village but I totally agree with a letter in your paper a couple of weeks ago.

He suggested we don’t need anymore restaurants or take-outs, but we do need a small hardware or general-type store for everyday needs, from a pack of picture hangers to clothespins.

I also miss a bagel shop and the availability of real baguettes, not the grocery store kind.

I am a senior, without a vehicle.
