Dear Editor,
And so it begins. It’s that time when politicians, local and provincial, spend ridiculous amounts of money to try and convince us (and themselves) that somehow they want to help make our society better, instead of just making their own lives better.
If there’s one thing that Donald Trump taught us (now there’s an oxymoron, literally) it’s that many people are so jaded by the whole political farce that they will choose a farcical leader to lead.
Christy Clark does not have the best interest of her constituents at heart; she never did. The problem is, can we be sure that any candidate actually does?
Politics tends to attract people who say all the right things for some form of personal gain, that is dressed up as altruism.
Too often, the individuals who would make the best leaders in our society, do not want the title.
The people who are really keeping the world together are the ones who have to choose between Candidate A, B, and what’s behind Door #3.
