Dear Editor,
The new Green is now NDP orange.
What’s with that marriage? Do you not remember how the NDP took this province to the dumpster?
The NDP’s flip-flop on issues is mind-numbing.
Who will pay for their promises? Check your wallets.
And to you environmentalists, let me remind you that Canada has always been an exporting country, from beaver pelts to today’s exports.
The benefit of exports benefits all Canadians and we have no right to impede exports coming to our ports of anything upon which our trading partners rely.
Are the Greens and their new partnership with the NDP going to stop grain, potash and, yes, even coal from crossing our province? What about that giant pile of sulphur on the North Shore?
Pipelines are essential and with today’s technology makes them much safer than the alternative of hundreds of tanker trucks travelling on our roads, which many Richmond residents have complained about in terms of fuel delivery to YVR.
With the Site C dam we are planning for future demands on electricity.
It stands to reason that as our population and industry grows, we will need more of it.
Not to mention, it keeps our skilled labour force employed.
As a resident of this province, I’d rather plan and pay today for something which will cost a hell of a lot more tomorrow.
Mike Puersten
