Dear Editor,

Re: “Beauty only skin deep for mom, daughter team,” Community, March 7.

Thanks to the Richmond News, our book signing at Richmond Centre was a success. Many families and individuals came by because they read your article and were inspired by your writing. They wanted to come and meet Rachael. Some came from our home church after hearing the announcement by our pastor.

And a handful of teachers, after reading your article, came by to purchase a few books for their family and classroom, as well for their school library.

It just shows that we have genuine caring teachers within our Richmond community who are willing to pay from their own pockets to buy the book. Rachael and I were humbled by their support and willingness to distribute our book to their local school and library.

We didn’t expect a large crowd since this was our second book signing, but we were very surprised with the outcome.

And last week the manager from Indigo on Granville Street contacted me and has asked if we would be interested in a book signing. He had heard great feedback and reviews about Pink’s Ink during his monthly manager’s conference call.

Feel free to come meet us at our next book signing event on May 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Indigo, 2505 Granville St., Vancouver.

Nancy and Rachael Cheung
