Dear Editor,
I don’t understand why our property taxes and water rates keep going up every year when there is such a huge increase in housing units. Are taxes not based on the dollar amount required to run the city, divided by the number of properties that are taxed? The new high rises around the Richmond Oval alone should negate the need for any increase.
