Dear Editor,
“Pianos on the street” is a very successful program in Richmond and other communities. Everyday, I saw children play with the piano at the front door of the Brighouse Library. It becomes an enlightenment of music for our future generation.
However, there is no one to lock the piano up and cover it the with the plastic sheet before the rain came. So, a few weeks ago, the piano was soaked with rain, and, as a result, a few of the keys were stuck and made no sound.
Nobody has come to fit it. And today, after yesterday’s rain, there are now more keys stuck together. What a pity!
I suggest that next year the organizer of this program have someone to care for the piano, especially to lock it up and cover it before the rain comes. Regardless, this program is a wonderful contribution to the community!
