Dear Editor,

I reported this to BC Wildlife Services. Walking around Garry Point Park, at 6 p.m. on a sunny Sunday, we came up beside Scotch Pond and a coyote walked out of the bushes, right to the edge of the path and just stood there — no more than 20 feet away.

Seemingly not afraid, I thought it might continue advancing, but as some people approached from the other direction, it turned and walked back into the bush.

This is a bit concerning — a coyote with no fear, in bright sunlight at a busy park.
