Dear Editor,
I would like to put in a good word for BC Canine, my dog daycare and boarding location of choice for the last several years.
The owner and staff are caring and hardworking individuals. They are working in the pre-dawn darkness until evening dark, in all kinds of often inclement weather.
Regarding the recent unfortunate incidents which have been slamming the Internet, be reminded that there are two sides to every story, and Phil (Moriarty), the owner, deserves to have his side given serious consideration. While it is sad that any dog suffers illness, it is a travesty that social media is building an unjust image of BC Canine. Other dog daycares have their own stories of things gone wrong.
Many of us rely on BC Canine to look after our dogs — especially large breeds — while we are at work or need overnight care for our pets.
Also, our dogs need the socialization and have formed friendships with other dogs that are there regularly. We need BC Canine and their dedicated staff in our neighbourhood.
I, along with other owners, fully support them.
