Dear Editor,

Re: “Policy encouraging English on signs adopted,” News, Sept. 8.

“.... the city supports the intercultural vision.... the most .... harmonious community in the country”.... noted a city staff report...

False.

The growing absence of (and minimizing of) English on signs has created a feeling of exclusion in many residents of Richmond.

The previous intercultural harmony in this community has been abandoned with the collusion of city hall.

Enough of this timidity by council. Take a stand before it is too late.
