Dear Editor,

This weekend, I enjoyed a trip to Blenz Coffee in the Seafair Plaza by No. 1 and Francis.

When I entered the room, I loved the bright and airy atmosphere. I also noticed that it is a lovely place to do your homework.

I was amazed to notice that unlike other coffee vendors, Blenz served hot coffee in recyclable cups with recyclable lids.

Having relished the heart-warming coffee, I asked at the counter for the recycling bin.

I was told that they did not keep any recycling bins.

Then, I thought for a moment, “What is the point in serving coffee in recyclable cups when they do not house any recycling bins?”

On looking outside and around the plaza, we could not spot any recycling bins.

Unfortunately, I had to garbage the cup with an ounce of guilt.

I learned at school that if you recycle material it can be recreated into another form.

Dumping recycled material is an unfriendly act and fills the land fill, which is anyway overflowing with other garbage.

The solution to this problem is easy.

Can Blenz Coffee keep recycling bins in their kiosks, so we can return the empty containers to Mother Nature?
