Letter: Now, this is art in Richmond

Dear Editor, Re: “Is this really art?” Letters , Feb. 15. Thank you for the photo of the sculpture at No. 2 and Dyke roads. I’m wondering who the artist is and if it’s possible to publish the artist’s name.

A relatively new structure that has appeared at the south foot of No. 2 Road at dyke has piqued the curiosity of at least one Richmond News reader (below).

Dear Editor,

Re: “Is this really art?” Letters, Feb. 15.

Thank you for the photo of the sculpture at No. 2 and Dyke roads.

I’m wondering who the artist is and if it’s possible to publish the artist’s name.

There is little information about the artwork and, as far as I know, there is not a plaque installed on site naming the artwork, the artist, the concept and materials used for the artwork.

I enjoy the piece and believe it is art, unlike Carlie Holland, who has insulted the artwork publicly.
