Dear Editor,
My head spins from the prices demanded by local vendors for Christmas trees — both real and artificial.
I created my own for under $10 using something than can be repurposed.
I wrapped a tomato cage with crepe paper, stuck the pronged end into a pot full of sand and hung Christmas ornaments from the rings.
You could also turn it upside down and put an angel on the pronged end.
Come summer, the former Christmas tree returns to its original purpose as support for a tomato plant.
