Dear Editor,
Over the past few months, I’ve noticed an abundance of people writing to this newspaper in order to decry the removal of trees on private property.
I have yet to see one that represents the other side of the issue.
When someone purchases property, they have the right to landscape it according to their wishes, as long as it fits within local bylaw regulations (and other statutes).
There appears to be a whole lot of outrage at people excerising their legal rights.
I would recommend most of these people who are complaining to mind their own business, go to a public park, or plant some trees on their own property.
