Dear Editor,

Re: “Mercy motorists rushed to help,” News, Aug. 3.

First off, great job to the people who helped the survivors of this crash. Your courage and quick thinking will be remembered by many, I’m sure. The world needs more people like you.

Whenever I read or hear about a crash in the news and the words “alcohol was not a factor” come up, my mind goes straight to bad driving.

How many more people need to die and families need to suffer from the increasing number of non-alcohol related car crashes before ICBC decides to increase the standards for driving in this province?

Perhaps ICBC enjoys reaping the rewards too much?

Self-driving cars? How about self-ticketing cars?
