Dear Editor,

Regarding the saga of Imperial Landing, it appears that a significant part of the story has been omitted.

During the construction of the complex, I became intrigued by the massive foundation of the complex as it evolved. The volume of concrete and reinforcing steel that was being consumed appeared to be out of proportion to the structures that would be supported.

A site engineer clarified the matter by saying the developer intended to add additional levels of residential accommodation to that which had been initially approved. (Editor’s note: This has not been verified.)

Is the City of Richmond ready for this?
