Dear Editor,

Re: “The real agenda behind Massey Tunnel replacement,” City Scene column, Sept. 7.

Does the public qualify for a respectful response any time soon from our elected members of the legislature representing Richmond to Coun. Harold Steves’ recent column in the Richmond News regarding the Massey tunnel replacement/enhancement?

Statements by provincial officials and the Port Authority are confusing and appear to be less than accurate or truthful.

What accommodations are incorporated in the bridge plan related to rising sea levels for future marine traffic?

Perhaps, the rising sea levels would provide the additional draft necessary to clear the existing tunnel and any additional tunnel structures.

I am holding my breath for a provincial response.
