Dear Editor,
As the month of November came around people have started wearing poppies to show their respect for the men and woman who gave their lives to defend Canada during and after World War I.
We might not be here today if it weren’t for those soldiers. That’s why we need to remind ourselves of how hard they fought to achieve peace and freedom.
Even though I’m only 14, and I don’t fully understand the sacrifices that were made, I’m still grateful to all the soldiers who risked their lives and who left their families to fight for the freedom that we have today.
