Re: “Council shoots gown BB gun arena,” News, Jan. 7.
What a relief to read that seven members of council had the good sense to say “No” to this business application and what a disappointment that two apparently do not.
What possible good can come from a plethora of very realistic handgun replicas becoming available in our city.
I note that Carol Day stated, “It’s still a business. We may not understand it and we may not like it, but it’s still a business. If we better understood it, we would probably all support it.”
What a sad commentary from one who was elected to maintain the liveability of our community.
Are these two members of council so focussed on increasing the business taxes they collect that they have forgotten their sense of community?
