Dear Editor,

Re: “The night I met Duke Ellington,” Voices, June 10.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the Nadine Jones article. Not only did the story bring back memories of growing up in Vancouver during the 1970s, it also reminded me of my own chance encounters with visiting celebrities, many of whom were filming here.

To paraphrase Andy Warhol, we all have our “15 minutes of fame” and I thank Nadine for sharing hers!
