Regarding ICBC, please do not bend to the Trial Lawyers Association.
If you really want to save money, transform ICBC into no-fault insurance. World-wide studies have shown that this reduces large and fraudulent claims.
One buys the limit one needs, and then, when an incident occurs, one collects from one’s own insurance.
Raising rates on good drivers is not the solution to ICBC’s financial woes. If you say the previous government looted the corporation, put the money back!
If you cannot manage ICBC as a Crown corporation, dissolve it and let the private insurance industry into B.C.
Rate increases are a Band-Aid, come up with a real solution!
