The annual RCCS Seniors Lunch was a hit with its 500 or so guests recently.

Dear Editor,

The Richmond Chinese Community Society 13th Annual Seniors’ Lunch Celebration was held at the Continental Seafood Restaurant in Richmond on Saturday, Aug. 15. This luncheon was attended by approximately 500 seniors. RCCS was so gracious and generous in providing free tickets to the seniors from different ethnic backgrounds to participate in this memorable event.

The food consisted of a 10-course dim sum, which was absolutely delicious and plentiful.

In addition to this mouth-watering treat, there was continuous entertainment with performers dressed in very colourful and attractive Chinese costumes. There was also very pleasing music and the dancefloor was fully occupied throughout.

This 13th annual seniors’ lunch event, like all the previous lunch parties, was excellent and very successful. It was a wonderful, heart-warming experience. This event was attended by dignitaries from three levels of government.

It is most commendable that RCCS has continued to provide this event so successfully for so many years, and I wish them all the luck and good fortune for many more years to come.
