Dear Editor,

To the excellent advice offered by Ross Hawkins and Marion Smith about feeding hummingbirds, I would like to add that the hummingbirds will appreciate it if you hang the feeders where they are protected from rain and snow (close to the house is also slightly warmer), and if you set a tomato cage or something with similarly small rails near the feeder, where they can perch during inclement weather.
