Dear Editor,
I am writing to express my gratitude to whoever it was at Lansdowne Centre’s food court who found my purse, which had been left on a chair uncared for, and handed it over to mall security.
My thanks also goes to the young police officer who went out of his way to deliver my purse to my home.
While I regret leaving my purse there after having a quick lunch in the mall, I am greatly moved by the realization that there are so many kind-hearted people in our community.
In fact, this is not the first time I’ve gotten back something that I had left unintentionally in a public place in Richmond.
Being a resident in Richmond for 20-plus years, I feel very lucky and proud to call this safe and friendly place home here.
